The Sex Ed you should be getting in school - and almost certainly won’t.

Solid, inclusive information delivered by experienced sex educators in a safe, confidential, and judgement-free cone of silence. All questions answered, for real.

TWEEN CLASS

The tween class curriculum is intended for people between the ages of 9 and 13, and will include:

  • A discussion of the vast and varied realms of sex, gender, and orientation

  • Sexual and reproductive anatomy through an inclusive, intersectional, developmentally appropriate lens

  • The twists and turns of our bodies during puberty

  • Straight talk about trust, communication, consent and agency

  • Critical media literacy as framing for understanding representations of bodies and sex in the media

  • ALLLLLLL the Q and A!

9/18/24:  Puberty: expect the unexpected

9/25/24:  No means no, yes means yes, maybe is real: consent and agency for one and all

10/9/24:  Sex! Demystifying what all the whispers are about

10/16/24:  Sex & Bodies in media: critical media literacy! 

TEEN EDITION

The teen class is intended for people between the ages of 12 and 17, and will include:

  • The vast and varied realms of sex, gender, and orientation

  • Sexual and reproductive anatomy through an inclusive, intersectional, developmentally appropriate lens

  • Straight talk about trust, communication, consent and agency

  • Pregnancy outcomes: birth, miscarriage and abortion

  • Safer sex: contraception choices, pros and cons

  • Everything about cycles and hormones

  • The hype about porn: how does it actually affect us?

  • Dismantling the high-stakes myth of virginity

  • STIs without stigma!

  • ALLLLLLL the Q and A

  • AND MORE!

9/18/24:  Sexual and reproductive anatomy, part 2: menstrual cycling, conception, and myth-busting

9/25/24:  No means no, yes means yes, maybe is real: consent and agency for one and all

10/9/24:  Queering sex: what sex might include for people with different bodies, orientations and abilities

10/16/24:  Contraception choices: how *not* to get pregnant

10/23/24: Pregnancy outcomes: facts about pregnancy, birth, abortion and miscarriage

10/30/24:  STIs without stigma! What we need to know to keep ourselves and our loved ones healthy

11/6/24: A Quick Reframe: sexuality, porn & media literacy in the internet age (a non-catastrophic perspective)

Queer/trans/nonbinary/GNC/differently-abled/neurodivergent people are 100% welcome!

This is a space where all bodies and all experiences are normalized and honored.

Registration for Sex Ed For Everybody is a 2 part process:

1) Fill out the appropriate registration form below.

Limited scholarships are available - if you are in need of one, please let us know on this form.



2) Send your payment to the Center for the Advancement for Body Literacy on Zeffy by using the link below!

Tuition

We offer a scaled payment structure for Sex Ed for Everybody with three payment options rather than one fixed price. This structure makes it possible for more people to access these classes with community support, and provides an opportunity for those with more access to resources to support others. 

Please choose the option that feels appropriate to you and your circumstances.

  • Supportive: $45 per class/$300 for the series

  • Fair: $30 per class/$200 for the series

  • Supported: $15 per class/$100 for the series

When payment is received, info to join the class will be emailed within 48 hours. If you do not receive an email, please email bodyliteracycenter@gmail.com.

In order to reserve your spot, payment must be received by midnight PST on 9/10/24.

Your donations for this series go toward funding the educational work of The Center For the Advancement of Body Literacy, a 501c3 whose mission is to provide practical, evidence-based education and materials to promote body literacy and foster a culture of informed, empowered sexual and reproductive autonomy.
